Ready For Their Close Ups
Jonathan Young and Elisabeth Millay are extraordinary photographers. They are also unbelievably kind and delightful people. We are grateful to be able to call them our friends. Our apartment was drenched in sunlight on the December day that they came to photograph Madeline and Atticus. You can see how dilated the little bunnies' pupils were in some of the images!
The cats relied on two props during the shoot. The first was their beloved, rainbow cat dancer (a gift from their dear Aunt June when they were very young).
And then there was the blessed, cardboard box. Truly, there are few things that make these two happier than a box. Before Jonathan and Elisabeth arrived, I realized that if I utilized the box from a Staples delivery that day, Matticus would feel much more at ease.
Oh what they did with that light!
It did take Madeline a little while to loosen up (she can be skeptical of people she doesn't know).
Atticus, of course, hammed it up the entire afternoon. And he strutted around the apartment (searching for his photographer friends) for the next few days.

Where I've Been
I've never watched Jersey Shore, but I couldn't help but notice that the wig I wore for some of my days of shooting made me look a little like Snooki.
Minus the braids.
Since I wrapped, I've been plugging away, trying to book the next job and so I've neglected MADELINE AND ATTICUS. Don't worry, I haven't neglected the real Madeline and Atticus.
Tomorrow, KITTY PHOTO SHOOT!
